Koi Supplies

Although there are many koi supplies needed for the day-to-day care of koi, there are also certain supplies needed by the koi in order to ensure their imminent survival.

One of the koi supplies that many koi owners never think about until it is too late are motion detector sprinklers. Although sprinklers may not seem to have much to do with koi, it’s a fact that these sprinklers can save the life of koi.

There are certain animals that might be near your koi pond that are natural predators to koi. These animals include raccoons, snakes, muskrats and herons.

While gates and fences can often keep creeping animals away from your koi, there are other koi supplies needed to keep birds from the fish. Many people who seriously want to protect their koi will buy motion-automated sprinklers that will spray the area the herons fly in when they attempt to swoop in for a koi snack.

Although not always considered to be one of the main koi supplies, those who suspect they will have a problem with birds will often buy these sprinklers.
